Why am I not getting event reminders?

Check and make sure you have enabled event reminders in the Settings tab. Also make sure the notifications are enabled for vgift on your iPhone/iPod. Go to Settings->General->vgift to enable notifications.

Why am I getting network errors on certain operations?

Certain operations in vGift like posting to Twitter/Facebook etc. require an active internet connection (WiFi/3G/Edge). If you don't have an active connection then the application will alert you when you try to perform those operations.

Why is vGift not displaying any birthdays in my event calendar?

The event calendar is based on your iPhone/iPod addressbook. If you have not specified birthdays for any of your contacts, then no birthdays will be displayed. Easiest way to get started is to import your Facebook friend data and save it to your addressbook. You can even selectively save just the friend data you are interested in tracking.

Can I import my facebook's contacts selectively instead of importing all contacts at once?

Sure. Don't select "Save All" option if you don't want to save all your Facebook friend data. Just select one contact at a time and sync that with your address book by creating a new contact OR merging with an existing contact.

What do New/Existing tabs mean in the Import tab?

When you import your friend data by logging into Facebook, we compare the names of your friends with the names of your contacts in your iPhone/iPod addressbook. The "New" tab displays all your Facebook friends whose name is not found in your iPhone/iPod address book. The "Existing" tab displays all your Facebook friends whose name already exists in your iPhone/iPod addressbook. When you do "Save All" from the "New" tab, we create new contact data for each of your friends. Pressing "Save All" from the Existing tab causes the friend data to be merged with the contact data with a matching name.

Why is my contacts birthday not displaying even after I import it from Facebook?

Your contact may not have set their birthday in Facebook or their privacy settings is preventing the application from accessing it.
